Bame Duniya
New Delhi, India
Bameduniya means The Roof of the World. It originally referred to the knot of mountains where the Karakoram, Pamirs, the Hindu Kush and the Tien Shan meet- to the north of Tajikstan. My blog is about regions and matters dealing with people living from the south of the Shivaliks and Doars to north of the Pamir Knot i.e. Bameduniya- The Roof of the World. I have been a bureaucrat all my working life, but have always had time to breathe clean and fresh mountain air. Retired from Indian Revenue Service and spend time feeding strays, exercising, reading, pouring over maps, taking pictures and writing travel and narcs articles. Have written a book on the North East of India called "Lands of Early Dawn" (2002) and on Ladakh called "Ladakh: Changing , yet Unchanged". Writing a book on Kashmir now.
